The Work and Purpose of Relief Society
Relief Society helps prepare women for the blessings of eternal life as they increase faith in Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and His Atonement; strengthen individuals, families, and homes through ordinances and covenants; and work in unity to help those in need.
The Annandale Stake Relief Society is comprised of the women's ministries of eight congregations. Part of the worldwide Relief Society organization, the local Annandale Stake Relief Society represents approximately 1,350 women, ages 18 and older, residing in Alexandria, Annandale, Burke, Fairfax, Fairfax Station, Springfield, and Lorton. These women unite together to strengthen faith, families, and care for the poor and needy through biweekly Sunday meetings and regular activities and service events.
